ربِّ إنْ تغفرْ وظنِّي هكذا

ربِّ إنْ تغفرْ وظنِّي هكذا

أوْ تعذِّبْ كنتَ عدلاً منصِفا

أوْ تعذِّبْ كنتَ عدلاً منصِفا

My Lord, if You forgive—and that is what I expect—

My Lord, if You forgive me though I deserve it not

Or punish, You would be just and fair.

Or if You punish me, You are Just and Fair

قادرٌ أنتَ على كلتيهما

قادرٌ أنتَ على كلتيهما

فاقضِ بالأولى بجاهِ المصطفى

فاقضِ بالأولى بجاهِ المصطفى

You are capable of both.

You have power over both forgiveness and punishment

So decree the former, by the honor of the Chosen One.

So decree forgiveness for the sake of the Chosen One
