May my father and mother be ransom for the beauty of my visitor, who
By my father and mother, how beautiful is my return
recalled my pledges after long feigned forgetfulness.
Which reminded me of my days after long forgetfulness
قالتْshe said تَغَيَّرْناwe have changed فقلتُso I said نعمْyes
قالتْ تَغَيَّرْنا فقلتُ نعمْ
أناI مِنْbecause of جفاكِyour coldness وأنتِand you منْbecause of إفلاسيmy poverty
أنا مِنْ جفاكِ وأنتِ منْ إفلاسي
