If you knew what I have suffered from love,

لوصلْتَ وصلي واقتطعْتَ قطيعتي

لوصلْتَ وصلي واقتطعْتَ قطيعتي

وهجرْتَ هجري واجتنبتَ تجنُّبي

وهجرْتَ هجري واجتنبتَ تجنُّبي

you would have sustained my bond and severed my estrangement,

You would join my bonds and cut short your estrangement,

and forsaken my abandonment and shunned my avoidance.

Forsake your avoidance, unite our spirits again.
