إنْ أَكُ براً فأنا فاجرٌ

بجرِّيَ الشوكَ إلى الوردِ

If I am righteous, then I am a sinner,

If I become great, I will be wicked

for dragging the thorns to the roses.

I drag the thorns to the rose

آخُذُ مِمَّنْ ليسَ لي عنده

آخُذُ مِمَّنْ ليسَ لي عنده

أعطي لمنْ ليسَ لهُ عندي

أعطي لمنْ ليسَ لهُ عندي

I take from one who owes me nothing;

I take from those who have nothing of mine

I give to one to whom I owe nothing.

I give to those who have nothing of mine
