I said to Mayy, “In your quarter I am
I said to a water-bearer, I am dead among your midst
dead because of Mayy—may my soul ransom you!
My soul has ransomed itself for you, from death
ترينَyou think ماذاwhat فيَّof me قالتْshe said أرىI think

أَنْ يخرجَ الميْتُ منَ الحيِّ
What do you think of me?” She said, “I think
Do you see what is in me, she said, I see
that the dead should be taken out of the quarter.”
That the dead comes out from the living
