لحيتُهُ طويلةٌ
قدْindeed لأثقلَتْit has surely weighed down أحناكَهُhis jaws
قدْ لأثقلَتْ أحناكَهُ
His beard is long;
His beard so long
It has indeed weighed down his jaws.
Weighs down his chin
لوif غاصَhe dived فيinto البحرِthe sea بهاwith it
لو غاصَ في البحرِ بها
لعرقلَتْit would entangle أسماكَهُits fish
لعرقلَتْ أسماكَهُ
If he dived into the sea with it,
If he dives in the sea
It would entangle the sea’s fish.
It would hinder the fish within
