في الملهياتِ ولا القماشْ

O merchant in learning—not

O trader in knowledge, not

in diversions, nor in cloth—

مثِّلْ لنا بخلاً بما

إنْ شئتَ أو أقصى عطاش

إنْ شئتَ أو أقصى عطاش

give us an example using your khalā (“except”) with mā,
