المالكيُّ طائشٌ ذو قوهْ
لهُhe has علىagainst أهلpeople of العلومِthe sciences سورَهْa fit of fury
لهُ على أهل العلومِ سورَهْ
The Maliki is rash, a man of strength.
He rages against men of learning.
دارَhe went round علىover بابِthe chapter on الجراحِwounds الدورهthe circuit
دارَ على بابِ الجراحِ الدوره
وماand did not قرأread فيin بابthe chapter on سترِcovering العورَهْthe private parts
وما قرأ في باب سترِ العورَهْ
He made his circuit through the chapter on wounds,
Yet never read the chapter on covering one's nakedness.
