لا تكنْ لائمي إذا اهتزَّ عطفي
منfrom سماعيmy listening لكلِّto every معنىmeaning نظيمِfinely wrought
من سماعي لكلِّ معنى نظيمِ
Do not blame me if my side sways
Blame me not if my frame doth quiver
On hearing every finely wrought meaning.
When hearing every meaning's verse;
كلevery منone who كانwas فيin رياضgardens المعانيthe meanings
كل من كان في رياض المعاني
غُصُناًa branch هزَّهُstirred him مرورُthe passing النسيمِthe breeze
غُصُناً هزَّهُ مرورُ النسيمِ
Whoever, in the gardens of meaning,
All who dwell in the gardens of wisdom
Is a branch is stirred by the passing breeze.
Sway when the winds of verse traverse.
