يَعُدْ عليكَ نفعُها
Deal tactfully with people;
Be gentle with the world,

كمْHow many منْof يدٍa hand قبلْتُهاI kissed it
كمْ منْ يدٍ قبلْتُها
كانَwas بودِّيmy wish قطعُهاcutting it off
كانَ بودِّي قطعُها
How many a hand I have kissed
How many hands I've shaken
that I wished to cut off.
that my love would sever.
