Were it not for fear of God,

[hā]—I would surely spend my gold

في عتيقٍ منْ مدامٍ

في عتيقٍ منْ مدامٍ

وجديدٍ من عِذارِ

وجديدٍ من عِذارِ

on well-aged wine,

on aged wine

and on fresh down upon a young cheek.

and newly sprouted cheek-down.
