لهجواthey spoke incessantly سنينَfor years بجوسلينَof Joscelin فإنَّهُfor indeed he
لهجوا سنينَ بجوسلينَ فإنَّهُ
قَدْindeed كانَwas علجاًa barbarian عالياًtowering فيin كفرِهِhis unbelief
قَدْ كانَ علجاً عالياً في كفرِهِ
For years they spoke incessantly of Joscelin, for he
was indeed a barbarian, towering in his unbelief.
ماnot وحدَهُhim alone أسروهُthey captured him إذْwhen أسروهthey captured him بلrather
ما وحدَهُ أسروهُ إذْ أسروه بل
أسرواthey captured الصليبَthe Cross بأسرِهِin its entirety فيin أسرِهِhis capture
أسروا الصليبَ بأسرِهِ في أسرِهِ
They did not capture him alone when they captured him; rather,
they captured the entire Cross in capturing him.
