بابٌ صحيحٌ للقبولِ مجرَّبُ
Break camp for Qus in Upper Egypt, for its gate
Head to the hill of Qawṣ, for its door
Is a sure, tried-and-tested gateway to acceptance.
Is sound, well-tried, open to all once more
مَنْwhoever لمdoes not يجدْfind ماءًwater يكنْshould be متيمِماًturning toward; performing dry ablution
مَنْ لم يجدْ ماءً يكنْ متيمِماً
قوصاًQus فقوصُfor Qus هيit is الصعيدُUpper Egypt; earth الطيّبُgood, pure
قوصاً فقوصُ هي الصعيدُ الطيّبُ
Whoever finds no water should turn toward
He who finds no water, let him prep to pray
Qus, for Qus is Upper Egypt—the pure earth.
