منْ قبلِ أنْ تمسوا ونصفٌ منهمُ

في الفاسقينَ ونصفهمْ كفّارُ

في الفاسقينَ ونصفهمْ كفّارُ

Before you reach evening, half of them

Before the night is halfway gone they will be

Are among the sinners, and half of them are unbelievers.

Half of them libertines and half infidels.

حاشاهمُ مِنْ ذا وذا لكنَّ مَنْ

حاشاهمُ مِنْ ذا وذا لكنَّ مَنْ

عدمَ الديانةَ قالَ ما يختارُ

عدمَ الديانةَ قالَ ما يختارُ

Far be this and that from them; but whoever

Far be it from so-and-so, but he who

Lacks piety says whatever he chooses.

Lacks faith has said what he chooses.
