  1. خطُّ كتابي مهملٌ

    وقدرُهُ مبجَّلُ

    My letter's handwriting is careless,

    yet its worth is held in honor;

  2. كالشمسِ ما يعيبُها

    قميصها المهلهلُ

    like the sun, which is not marred

    by its tattered shirt.
