لا ينبغي نقلُ الذي لا ينبغي

O you who convey to me my envier’s words,

Oh messenger carrying to me the words of my enviers

It is not fitting to relay what is not fitting.

It is not fitting to carry that which is not fitting

لا تؤذني بحجةِ النصحِ فما

أسمعني السوءَ سوى مبلِّغي

Do not hurt me under the pretext of advice, for none
