أفديI would ransom بماwith what أملكُهُI own it سَيْرَهاher coming
أفدي بما أملكُهُ سَيْرَها
A visitor came without an appointment.
A visitor came unannounced
I would sacrifice all I own for her coming.
I'd give all I own just for her company
فقلتُso I said ماnot ذاthis وَقْتُهُits time فارجعيso go back
فقلتُ ما ذا وَقْتُهُ فارجعي
وعاودينيand visit me again ليلةًa night غَيْرَهاother than it
وعاوديني ليلةً غَيْرَها
So I said, 'This is not the time; go back,
I said, this is no time, come back later
and visit me again another night.'
And see me again another night
