مليحٌ ردفُهُ والساقُ منهُ
كبنيانِlike the construction of القصورِthe palaces علىupon الثلوجِthe snows
كبنيانِ القصورِ على الثلوجِ
A handsome one—his buttocks and his leg
Sweet the face with rosy cheeks,
are like palaces built upon snow.
Like palaces built on snow,
خذواtake (you all) منْfrom خدِّهِhis cheek القانيcrimson نصيباًa share
خذوا منْ خدِّهِ القاني نصيباً
فقدfor indeed عزمَresolved الغريبُthe stranger علىon الخروجِdeparture
فقد عزمَ الغريبُ على الخروجِ
Take a share of his crimson cheek,
Take from his soft cheek a taste,
for the stranger has resolved to depart.
For the stranger is set to go.
