كُسرَتْwas broken يدٌa hand مِنْof نافرٍone who recoils
كُسرَتْ يدٌ مِنْ نافرٍ
عنيfrom me تعاظَمَgrew formidable كيدُهُhis guile
عني تعاظَمَ كيدُهُ
A hand was broken, belonging to one who recoiled
The hand of an enemy was broken
from me, whose guile had grown formidable.
My eye looked down on his plots
والظَّبيُand the gazelle مهماwhenever عاقَهُhindered it
والظَّبيُ مهما عاقَهُ
شيءٌanything تيسَّرَbecame easy صيدُهُcatching it
شيءٌ تيسَّرَ صيدُهُ
And whenever the gazelle is hindered
However much the prey eludes him
by anything, it becomes easy to catch.
The hunter shall entrap his prize
