سيلٌ طغى في بعلبكَّ وراعدٌ

سيلٌ طغى في بعلبكَّ وراعدٌ

ولهيبُ نارٍ ثارَ للتعذيبِ

A flood overflowed in Baalbek, and a thundercloud,

A torrent overflowed in Baalbek, and thunder

And a blaze of fire flared up to torment.

And flames of fire rose up for torment

فلئنْ تركَّبَ ثمَّ مازجَ سورَها

فلبعلبكَّ المزجُ في التركيبِ
