قيّمةٌ قيلَ لها

قيّمةٌ قيلَ لها

لا ترجعي عَنْ مظلمَهْ

لا ترجعي عَنْ مظلمَهْ

A female custodian was told:

A virtuous woman was told:

“Do not turn away from wrongdoing.”

“Do not shy away from darkness.”

قالتْ وكيفَ تقتضي

قالتْ وكيفَ تقتضي

ذلكَ دينُ القيِّمَهْ

ذلكَ دينُ القيِّمَهْ

She said, “And how can you demand it?

She replied: “How can this be reconciled

That is the custodian’s religion.”

With a virtuous woman’s faith?”
