أخٌa brother أبقىleft behind ببذلِby giving المالِwealth ذكراa remembrance
أخٌ أبقى ببذلِ المالِ ذكرا
وإنْand though لاموهُthey blamed him فيهِfor it ووبخوهُand they rebuked him
وإنْ لاموهُ فيهِ ووبخوهُ
A brother left a lasting memory by giving wealth,
A brother who remains with giving money as a memory
Though they blamed him for it and rebuked him.
Even if they blame him for it and rebuke him
أزالَremoved فراقُهُhis departure لذاتِpleasures عيشيmy life
أزالَ فراقُهُ لذاتِ عيشي
وكلُّand every أخٍbrother مفارقُهُparting from him أخوهُhis brother
وكلُّ أخٍ مفارقُهُ أخوهُ
His departure took away the pleasures of my life,
The separation from him removes the pleasures of my life
And every brother is parted from his brother.
And every brother who parts from his brother
