يا فاضلاً في اللهِ أض
حىcompletion of 'became' أخذُهُhis taking وتركُهُand his leaving
حى أخذُهُ وتركُهُ
O virtuous man, now acting for God's sake
You honorable in God took it
in your taking and your leaving,
And left it
مثِّلْgive examples لناfor us الأماكنُthe places الthe
مثِّلْ لنا الأماكنُ ال
مرتفعاتُlofty ones ملكُهُhis dominion
مرتفعاتُ ملكُهُ
give us examples of the places—
Represent to us the places
the lofty ones that are His domain.
