كأنها الغصنُ النّضِرْ

I spent the evening conversing with a Samaritan woman,

I conversed with a lovely maiden,

as though she were a verdant bough.

Who seemed like a blossoming bough,

بِطرفِها وقدِّها

بِطرفِها وقدِّها

نذكرُ موسى والخضِرْ

نذكرُ موسى والخضِرْ

Through her gaze and her figure,

With her glances and graceful neck,

we recall Moses and al-Khidr.
