She passed, with cheeks of anemone,
A corn poppy caressed my cheek
by us, so I hastened to say:
So I said, take the lead

قالتْ وشقِّ المرائرْ
“This is of the anemones.”
Is this from the corn poppies?
She said, “And of the rending of gallbladders.”
She said, and tear open the veils
