فاضلٌdistinguished فيin العلمِlearning خاملْobscure
فاضلٌ في العلمِ خاملْ

Am distinguished in learning, yet obscure;
am proficient in knowledge, inactive
وكذاand likewise الفاضلُthe man of merit مثليlike me
وكذا الفاضلُ مثلي
عندَat قسمِthe apportionment of الرزقِsustenance فاضلْleft over
عندَ قسمِ الرزقِ فاضلْ
And likewise, a man of merit like me
And likewise the virtuous like me
Is left over when sustenance is apportioned.
