If desires were assured as rewards to excite

أعناقُ عذّالي مدققةٌ

أعناقُ عذّالي مدققةٌ

ومفاصلُ الرقباءِ مدفونَهْ

ومفاصلُ الرقباءِ مدفونَهْ

my reproachers’ necks crushed,

With torturers' necks outstretched in contrition

and the watchers’ joints buried.

And tyrants' joints hidden without recognition
