ووجنتي قلتُ خذْ يا صنعةَ الباري

ووجنتي قلتُ خذْ يا صنعةَ الباري

If he says, “Describe my cheek-down for me in an original way

If he said, “Describe to me your virgins with an innovative description,

and my cheek,” I say, “Take this, O handiwork of the Creator:

And your paradise”, I said, “Take, O handiwork of the Creator,

هذا عذارُكَ نمَّامٌ ومسكنُهُ

هذا عذارُكَ نمَّامٌ ومسكنُهُ

نارٌ بخدَّيْكَ والتمامُ في النارِ

نارٌ بخدَّيْكَ والتمامُ في النارِ

This cheek-down of yours is a tale-bearer, and its dwelling

This is your heaven, blaming and its dwelling

is fire upon your cheeks, and completion is in the fire.”

A fire on your cheeks, and perfection is in the Fire.”
