صانعةٌa craftswoman قلتُI said لهاto her أنتyou قدْalready
صانعةٌ قلتُ لها أنت قدْ
عاشرتنيyou kept company with me سامعةًlistening طائعَهْobedient
عاشرتني سامعةً طائعَهْ
To a craftswoman I said, 'You have
I said to her, "You have been
kept company with me, listening and obedient.'
My companion, listening, obedient."
قالتْshe said وماand no one باتَspent the night بماwith what ينبغيis fitting
قالتْ وما باتَ بما ينبغي
فيin عشرةِcompanionship الناسِpeople سوىexcept الصانعَهْthe craftswoman
في عشرةِ الناسِ سوى الصانعَهْ
She said, 'And none has passed the night as one ought
She said, "None but the Maker lasts
in companionship with others, save the craftswoman.'
As a fitting companion for people."
