كادَ حديدٌ براحتيهِ
يذوبُmelts منْfrom نارِfire وجنتيهِhis two cheeks
يذوبُ منْ نارِ وجنتيهِ
The iron in his palms almost
The iron nearly melted in his palms
melted from the fire of his cheeks.
From the fire in his cheeks
طرقتمونيyou guided me إلىto حماهمtheir sanctuary
طرقتموني إلى حماهم
فصادَand so ensnared قلبيَmy heart مقلتيهِhis two eyes
فصادَ قلبيَ مقلتيهِ
You guided me to their sanctuary,
You brought me to their sanctuary
and so my heart ensnared his eyes.
So my heart steeled its blades
