لِم لا تُنالُ العُلى أو يُعْقَدُ التّاجُ

لِم لا تُنالُ العُلى أو يُعْقَدُ التّاجُ

والمُشْتَري طالِعٌ والشّمْسُ هِلاجُ

والمُشْتَري طالِعٌ والشّمْسُ هِلاجُ

Why should the heights not be attained, or the crown not be fastened,

Why do you not attain the heights, or wear the crown?

With Jupiter rising and the sun the hyleg, the significator of life,

The buyer has come, and the sun has risen clear.

والسّعْدُ يَرْكُضُ في مَيْدانِها فَرحاً

والسّعْدُ يَرْكُضُ في مَيْدانِها فَرحاً

جَذْلانَ والفلَكُ الدّوّارُ هِمْلاجُ

جَذْلانَ والفلَكُ الدّوّارُ هِمْلاجُ

And good fortune galloping joyfully in her arena,

Good fortune gallops joyfully in its field.

Exultant, while the revolving celestial sphere is a swift, smooth-gaited steed?

Lively, while the turning heavens urge you on.
