رَجَعْناwe returned بحوْلِby the power of اللهِGod بعْدَafter استِدارَةٍa circuit
رَجَعْنا بحوْلِ اللهِ بعْدَ استِدارَةٍ
وكِلْناand we measured out بِهاin it للأُنْسِto fellowship كيْلَa measure of اخْتِيارِهِits choosing
وكِلْنا بِها للأُنْسِ كيْلَ اخْتِيارِهِ
We returned, by God's power, after making a circuit,
By God's grace we returned after a revolution
And in it we meted out to fellowship a measure of its choosing,
And we devoted ourselves to it as devotion of choice
كماjust as راجَعَreturned to البِرْكارُthe compass مَفْروضَdesignated نُقطَةٍa point
كما راجَعَ البِرْكارُ مَفْروضَ نُقطَةٍ
منَof السّطْحِthe plane منْهاfrom it كانَwas بَدْءُthe beginning of مَدارِهِits circuit
منَ السّطْحِ منْها كانَ بَدْءُ مَدارِهِ
As the compass returned to a designated point
As the compass returned to the marked point
On the plane, from which its circuit had begun.
On the surface from which its orbit began
