قالوا وَلائِمُ موْلانا مَجالِسُها

قالوا وَلائِمُ موْلانا مَجالِسُها

عِشْرونَ منْ ضَحْوَةٍ للّيْلِ مَعْدودَةْ

عِشْرونَ منْ ضَحْوَةٍ للّيْلِ مَعْدودَةْ

They said, “The gatherings at our lord’s banquets

They said the gatherings of our master are

number twenty, counted from midmorning until night.”

Twenty from the morning counted for the night

فقُلْتُ ألوانُها في النّفْعِ أدوِيَةٌ

فقُلْتُ ألوانُها في النّفْعِ أدوِيَةٌ

والبَعْضُ منْها بلِ المَجْموعُ مَحْمودَةْ

والبَعْضُ منْها بلِ المَجْموعُ مَحْمودَةْ

So I said, “Their varied dishes have the benefits of medicines,

So I said their kinds in benefit are cures

and some of them—rather, all of them—are praiseworthy.”

And some of them but the whole are praised
