The caravans say to me, while longing in my breast

Holds sway, passing between one who forbids and one who commands:

When you have scaled the Mount of Divine Unity,

Then encamp, your eyes at peace, in ʿĀmir's dwelling.

And visit the Infallible One's tomb; indeed, visiting it

Is the pilgrimage toward which every lean camel is driven.

At the resting place of ʿĀmir ibn Muhammad, you will find

The smiling mouths of hopes, revealed through the teeth of glad tidings.

And to God belongs the fortune you experience in your destination,

And to God belongs the auspicious bird-omen you encounter.

And through the ages, proverbs will be drawn from you both:

As the best one visited, or the most enviable visitor.
