يَاO وَالِيَruler of الْعُمْرِlife وَأَلْقَابُهُand its titles
يَا وَالِيَ الْعُمْرِ وَأَلْقَابُهُ
لَهَاthey have إِلَىwith التَّضْييعِsquandering فَرْطُexcessive degree of انْتِسَابْaffinity
لَهَا إِلَى التَّضْييعِ فَرْطُ انْتِسَابْ
O ruler of life—and its titles
O guardian of life and its titles
Have an excessive affinity with squandering.
It is prone to squandering its lineage
لاَdo not تَأمَنِfeel safe from الدَّهْرَTime وَعُدْوَانَهُand its aggression
لاَ تَأمَنِ الدَّهْرَ وَعُدْوَانَهُ
عَلَيْكَagainst you فَالدَّهْرُfor Time سَرِيعُswift in الْحِسَابْreckoning
عَلَيْكَ فَالدَّهْرُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابْ
Do not feel safe from Time and its aggression
Do not trust time and its transgressions
Against you, for Time is swift in reckoning.
Upon you, for time is swift in its reckoning
