يا إماماً غَدا لِدينٍ ودُنْيا

يا إماماً غَدا لِدينٍ ودُنْيا

خَيْرَ مُسْتَصْرَخٍ وخَيْرَ غِياثِ

خَيْرَ مُسْتَصْرَخٍ وخَيْرَ غِياثِ

O imam who has become, for religion and worldly life,

O leader for religion and life tomorrow

the best to call upon for help and the finest source of succor.

The best helper called upon, the best savior

حَلَفَ الليلُ وهْوَ بَرٌّ كَريمٌ

حَلَفَ الليلُ وهْوَ بَرٌّ كَريمٌ

عنْدَ ذِكْراكَ مُقْسِماً بالثّلاثِ

عنْدَ ذِكْراكَ مُقْسِماً بالثّلاثِ

The night swore—and it is upright and generous—

The night swore, while it is righteous and generous

at the mention of you, swearing by the three,

When you are mentioned, swearing by the three

أنّكَ المُسْتَعينُ باللهِ حَقّاً

أنّكَ المُسْتَعينُ باللهِ حَقّاً

في ابْتدَارٍ الى الهُدَى وانْبِعاثِ

في ابْتدَارٍ الى الهُدَى وانْبِعاثِ

that you are truly al-Mustaʿin bi-llāh, the seeker of God's aid,

That you are the one who seeks refuge in God, truly

in hastening toward right guidance and setting forth.

In initiating guidance and revival

حَفِظَ اللهُ أمّةً أنْتَ فيها

حَفِظَ اللهُ أمّةً أنْتَ فيها

مَلِكاً من طَوارِقِ الأحْداثِ

مَلِكاً من طَوارِقِ الأحْداثِ

May God protect a nation in which you are

May God protect a nation in which you are

king, from the sudden visitations of misfortune.
