رَعىmay protect اللهُGod راعيthe shepherd of الشّاءِthe sheep ماas long as شاءَHe wills إنّهُindeed he
رَعى اللهُ راعي الشّاءِ ما شاءَ إنّهُ
تَعاطىhe took action فلمّاand when اجْتازَhe passed فرصَتَهُhis opportunity عقَرْhe hamstrung
تَعاطى فلمّا اجْتازَ فرصَتَهُ عقَرْ
May God protect the shepherd of sheep as long as He wills; indeed, he
The shepherd cared for his sheep as he wished
Took action, and when he had passed his opportunity, he hamstrung.
He took chances so when he missed his opportunity, he was ruined
أصابَstruck صَغيراًa little one منْهُof his صقْرٌa falcon مُكبّرٌproclaiming God's greatness
أصابَ صَغيراً منْهُ صقْرٌ مُكبّرٌ
فصيّرَهُso he sent it بعْدَafter النّعيمِbliss الىto سَقَرْSaqar, a name for Hell
فصيّرَهُ بعْدَ النّعيمِ الى سَقَرْ
A falcon proclaiming God's greatness struck a little one of his,
A loud eagle seized a small one among them
And sent it, after bliss, to Saqar.
And after comfort changed it to hell
تَقومُit stands قِيامَthe fulfillment of الفَرْضِthe obligatory duty فيon الأرضِthe earth بعدَهاafter it
تَقومُ قِيامَ الفَرْضِ في الأرضِ بعدَها
بحقِّby the right of رُعاةِthe herders of الإبْلِthe camels والشّاءِand the sheep والبَقَرْand the cattle
بحقِّ رُعاةِ الإبْلِ والشّاءِ والبَقَرْ
Thereafter it is upheld on earth like an obligatory duty,
You stand up to perform your duty on earth after it
By the right of the herders of camels, sheep, and cattle.
With the right of the shepherds of camels, sheep, and cows
