جعَلْتُ إلَيْكَ اللهَ والمَلأَ الأعْلى

جعَلْتُ إلَيْكَ اللهَ والمَلأَ الأعْلى

وسائِلَ لا تَلْقَى شفاعَتُها كَلاّ

وسائِلَ لا تَلْقَى شفاعَتُها كَلاّ

I have set before you God and the Highest Assembly

As mediators whose intercession is never refused.

ومَنْ يَقْتَضي الخَلْقُ الحُقوقَ بجاهِهِ

ومَنْ يَقْتَضي الخَلْقُ الحُقوقَ بجاهِهِ

أتَيْتُ بهِ حتّى النّبيئِينَ والرُّسْلا

أتَيْتُ بهِ حتّى النّبيئِينَ والرُّسْلا

And those through whose standing people secure their rights,

I have brought with me—even the prophets and messengers.

ولمْ أُبْقِ أمّاً للشّفاعَةِ أو أبا

ولمْ أُبْقِ أمّاً للشّفاعَةِ أو أبا

ولا ابْناً ولا جَدّاً لهُ خَبَرٌ يتْلَى

ولا ابْناً ولا جَدّاً لهُ خَبَرٌ يتْلَى

Nor have I left out any mother or father as an intercessor,

Nor any son or grandfather whose story is recounted.

وبالقُطْبِ والغَوْثِ الذي بوجودِهِ

وبالقُطْبِ والغَوْثِ الذي بوجودِهِ

وُجودُ نِظامِ الكونِ إنْ عُدِمَ اخْتَلاّ

وُجودُ نِظامِ الكونِ إنْ عُدِمَ اخْتَلاّ

And by the Pole and the Succor, through whose existence

The universe's order endures; were he absent, it would fall into disorder.

فَلا تُخْزِ في ردٍّ كِرامَ وُجوهِهِمْ

فَلا تُخْزِ في ردٍّ كِرامَ وُجوهِهِمْ

ومهِّدْ لهُمْ منْ بَرِّكَ الرّحْبَ والسّهْلا

ومهِّدْ لهُمْ منْ بَرِّكَ الرّحْبَ والسّهْلا

So do not disgrace their noble faces by refusing them,

And pave for them, with your kindness, a broad and easy way.

حَشاكَ بأنْ تَبْدو لهُمْ منْكَ وحْشَةٌ

حَشاكَ بأنْ تَبْدو لهُمْ منْكَ وحْشَةٌ

ومِنْ دونِهِم عُرِّفْتَهُ البِرَّ والفَضْلا

ومِنْ دونِهِم عُرِّفْتَهُ البِرَّ والفَضْلا

Far be it from you to show them any coldness,

When even those beneath them have known you for kindness and bounty.
