ليI have حَبيبٌa beloved لسْتُI do not أعصيdisobey أمْرَهْhis command
لي حَبيبٌ لسْتُ أعصي أمْرَهْ
لمْnot أُطِقْI could bear بعْدَafter وِصالٍunion هجْرَهْhis abandonment
لمْ أُطِقْ بعْدَ وِصالٍ هجْرَهْ
I have a beloved whose command I do not disobey.
I have a beloved I cannot disobey
After union, I could not bear his abandonment.
After being together I cannot bear his abandonment
يدّعيhe claims أنيthat I am ثقيلٌburdensome مبْرِمٌtiresome
يدّعي أني ثقيلٌ مبْرِمٌ
أثْقَلَmay weigh down اللهُGod بعِدْليwith my load ظَهْرَهْhis back
أثْقَلَ اللهُ بعِدْلي ظَهْرَهْ
He claims that I am burdensome and tiresome.
He claims I'm difficult and stubborn
May God weigh down his back with my load!
May God weigh down his back with my justice
