How could you two entrust a gazelle with the drinkers,
How could you trust a gazelle to serve the wine?
whose glance cannot be trusted with hearts?
Its glance in hearts is ever restless and sly.

He began serving drink, then poured a scant amount into the cup,
It started pouring but only let a sip or two
out of his confidence in what the eyes held.
Fall in the cup, so trusting what it read in the eyes.
