مَنْ لا نصيبَ لصَحْبِهِ في خيْرِهِ

مَنْ لا نصيبَ لصَحْبِهِ في خيْرِهِ

وإذا سَعَى لمْ يقْضِ حاجَةَ غيْرِهِ

وإذا سَعَى لمْ يقْضِ حاجَةَ غيْرِهِ

He whose companions have no share in his bounty,

He who gives his friends no share of his wealth

And who, when he strives, fulfills no one else's need—

And when asked, fulfils not another's need -

فاقْصِدْ أباهُ متى أرَدْتَ وقُلْ لهُ

فاقْصِدْ أباهُ متى أرَدْتَ وقُلْ لهُ

اللهُ يُلْهِمُهُ العَزاءَ بأيْرِهِ

اللهُ يُلْهِمُهُ العَزاءَ بأيْرِهِ

Then seek out his father whenever you wish, and say to him:

Seek him, whenever you desire, and say:

“May God grant him consolation for his cock.”

May God inspire him to console his fellow!
