وَالْكَوْنُand the universe أَشْرَاكُsnares for نُفُوسِsouls of الْوَرَىhumankind
وَالْكَوْنُ أَشْرَاكُ نُفُوسِ الْوَرَى
طُوبَىblessedness لِنَفْسٍfor a soul حُرَّةٍfree فَازَتْhas triumphed
طُوبَى لِنَفْسٍ حُرَّةٍ فَازَتْ
And the universe is snares for the souls of humankind.
Blessed is a free soul that has triumphed!
لَمْhas not تَحُزْattained مَعْرِفَةَknowledge of اللَّهِGod قَدْindeed
لَمْ تَحُزْ مَعْرِفَةَ اللَّهِ قَدْ
أَوْرَطَهَاhas entangled it الشَّيْءُthe thing الْذِيthat حَازَتْit acquired
أَوْرَطَهَا الشَّيْءُ الْذِي حَازَتْ
It has not attained knowledge of God; indeed,
The thing it acquired has entangled it.
