مَنْwho لِيfor me بِذَكْرَىwith a memory كُلَّمَاwhenever أَوْجَسْتُهَاI sense it
تَمْحُوerases سُلُوِّيmy solace وَاشْتِيَاقِيand my longing تُثْبِتُmakes enduring
Who can help me with a memory that, whenever I sense it,
Who will remind me whenever I miss her
erases my solace and makes my longing endure,
She erases my solace and affirms my longing
وَسَحَابِand a cloud of دَمْعٍtears كُلَّمَاwhenever أَمْطَرْتُهُI rain it down
غَيْرَother than الْقَتَادِthe thornbushes بِمَضْجَعِيon my bed لاَnot تُنْبِتُmakes grow
and a cloud of tears that, whenever I rain it down,
And clouds of tears whenever I rain them
grows nothing on my bed but thornbushes?
None but memories in my bed grow
