O my peerless, most exalted master and my mainstay,

And you bound to me by kinship and homeland.

The excuse is clearer than a light upon a mountain.

So overlook it if you were absent from amusement and folly.

You invited the companions on Monday at midmorning,

And it holds what neither Saturday nor Sunday holds:

The day for greeting the master and serving him.

So be gracious, and if my foot stumbles, take me by the hand.

May you remain in the shade of a life that knows no end,

Accompanied, not limited to any span of time.
