مَنْwhoever كَانَwas فِيin الْحُكْمِgovernance لَهُfor him نَائِبُa deputy
مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْحُكْمِ لَهُ نَائِبُ
فَقَدْthen surely أَصَابَتْhas struck مَالَهُhis wealth نَائِبَهْa calamity
فَقَدْ أَصَابَتْ مَالَهُ نَائِبَهْ
If one has a deputy in governance,
then calamity has surely struck his wealth.
وَلَّىentrusted يَداًa hand خَائِنَةًtreacherous أَمْرَهُhis affairs
وَلَّى يَداً خَائِنَةً أَمْرَهُ
فَأَصْبَحَتْand so became صَفْقَتُهُhis bargain خَائِبَهْunsuccessful
فَأَصْبَحَتْ صَفْقَتُهُ خَائِبَهْ
He entrusted his affairs to a treacherous hand,
and so his bargain ended in failure.
