Pass it round, for dawn's face is about to appear.
and on every bough a sweet-voiced songster sings.
And on every branch a tuneful, cooing bird sings.

And drink it amid the gardens' myrtle and roses;
this is the garden’s down, and that its cheek.
For this is the gardens' sideburn, and that their cheek.

So hasten to pleasures before they slip away,
So hasten to pleasures before they slip away;
for once an hour departs, it cannot be recalled.
For whenever an hour has passed, there is no bringing it back.
