غيْثُ بِلاد اللهِ يا بُلَّذوذْ
May the rain not bless you when it pours—
When rain waters you, how splendid you are!
The rain of God's lands, O Bulladhudh!
You are the rain of God's land, O sweet one.
ماnot أنْتَyou ياO مَغْنىabode of الأذىharm والقَذىand filth
ما أنْتَ يا مَغْنى الأذى والقَذى
فيin مذْهَبِthe way of المعْمورِthe inhabited world إلاexcept شُذوذْan anomaly
في مذْهَبِ المعْمورِ إلا شُذوذْ
You, O abode of harm and filth,
You who dispel harm and filth,
Are nothing but an anomaly in the order of the inhabited world.
In the realm of the flourishing, you are unique.
