    It is distinction enough for him that his learning drew water

    From the immense sea that no measure can fathom—

    The sea of learning, beneath which trickled

    Channels of knowledge—and there is no harm in truth.

    When the limbs, in beauty and in motion,

    Act rightly, the credit belongs to the head.

    And even if the highest rank is contested and claimed,

    Its possession is Malik's, without ambiguity.

    فَلا تكُنْ لحُقوقِ النّاسِ بالنّاسِ

    And all of them are blazing stars, guides to the faith;

    So do not be forgetful of people's rights.
