جَلَسَ الْمَوْلَى لِتَسْلِيمِ الْوَرَى

جَلَسَ الْمَوْلَى لِتَسْلِيمِ الْوَرَى

وَلِفَصْلِ الْبَرْدِ فِي الْجَوِّ احْتِكَامْ

وَلِفَصْلِ الْبَرْدِ فِي الْجَوِّ احْتِكَامْ

The lord sat to receive the people's greetings,

The Master sat to bid farewell to pilgrims

And the cold season held sway in the air.

And to settle the coldness in the air decisively

فَإِذَا مَا سَأَلُوا عَنْ يَوْمِنَا

فَإِذَا مَا سَأَلُوا عَنْ يَوْمِنَا

قُلْتُ هَذَا الَيوْمَ بَرْدُ وَسَلاَمْ

قُلْتُ هَذَا الَيوْمَ بَرْدُ وَسَلاَمْ

So when they asked about our day,

So if they ask about our day

I said, “This day is coolness and peace.”

I say: this is a day of cold and peace
