قَالَتْshe said إِذَاwhen اسْتَخْبَرتُهَاI asked her عَنْabout زَوْجِهَاher husband
قَالَتْ إِذَا اسْتَخْبَرتُهَا عَنْ زَوْجِهَا
هُوَhe يَقْرِنُyokes together الأَزْوَاجَthe pairs of oxen فِيin الْفَدَّانِthe plough
هُوَ يَقْرِنُ الأَزْوَاجَ فِي الْفَدَّانِ
She said, when I asked her about her husband:
When I asked her about her husband
He yokes the oxen in pairs to the plough.
He pairs the couples in the valley
قُلْتُI said اْبلِغيconvey عَنِّيon my behalf السَّلاَمَgreetings عَشِيَّةin the evening
قُلْتُ اْبلِغي عَنِّي السَّلاَمَ عَشِيَّة
عِنْدَupon الْمَجِيْarrival لِزَوْجِكِto your husband الْقَرَّانِthe yoker
عِنْدَ الْمَجِيْ لِزَوْجِكِ الْقَرَّانِ
I said: Convey my greetings in the evening,
I said, "Convey my greetings in the evening
on arriving, to your husband, the yoker.
To your husband, the Qur'an reciter"
